Job Description

Home Instead in New Port Richey, Florida, is urgently seeking dedicated Caregivers for immediate hire! Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engage in stimulating activities with clients.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying client's living areas.
- Provide medication reminders to ensure clients take their prescriptions on time.
- Assist with safe client transfers and mobility, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social engagements, and assist with errands.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Genuine compassion and empathy for seniors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately and diligently.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in caregiving, home health, or a related field (personal experience with family members is also valued).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is a plus but not required.
