Job Description

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Charter Coach Drivers to join our team for national tours, traveling across the beautiful landscapes of the USA. This is an exciting opportunity for professional drivers who love the open road and enjoy providing exceptional service to passengers on multi-day excursions. As a Charter Coach Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating our state-of-the-art motorcoaches, adhering to all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and ensuring a comfortable and memorable journey for all passengers. You will be an ambassador for Coach USA, representing our commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a motorcoach for national, multi-day tours across the United States.
  • Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and DOT regulations, including hours of service.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage, ensuring proper storage and security.
  • Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with inquiries and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and expense reports.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, tour leaders, and passengers regarding schedules, routes, and any unexpected delays.
  • Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle interior and exterior.
  • Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and maps, adapting to changing road conditions or detours as needed.

Required Skills

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with Passenger (P) endorsement.
  • Minimum of 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, preferably with motorcoaches or large passenger vehicles.
  • Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, including hours of service.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry luggage up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to travel for extended periods, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with national tour operations or long-haul driving.
  • Familiarity with various geographic regions of the USA.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues on the road.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
