Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Cross-Docking Associate to join our fast-paced logistics team in Milwaukee. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the swift and accurate transfer of goods from incoming to outgoing transportation, minimizing storage time and optimizing our supply chain flow. This role is crucial to maintaining the speed and efficiency that our customers expect from UPS. You will operate in a dynamic warehouse environment, collaborating with team members to ensure timely processing and dispatch of various types of freight and packages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently unload incoming freight from various transportation vehicles.
  • Promptly sort and scan packages, ensuring accurate data entry into inventory systems.
  • Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies, reporting issues to supervisors.
  • Load outgoing freight onto appropriate vehicles, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
  • Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively (certification preferred, training provided).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily cross-docking targets and deadlines.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 70 lbs) regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer literacy for scanning and data entry.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cross-docking role.
  • Forklift or pallet jack certification.
  • Experience with inventory management systems.
