Job Description
Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? Electronic Arts is looking for a Junior Quality Analyst to join our team, specifically focusing on the Dragon Age franchise. As a Junior Quality Analyst, you will be instrumental in identifying, documenting, and testing defects to ensure a high-quality player experience. Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases to ensure functionality, usability, and performance across various game features and platforms.
- Identify, isolate, and document defects clearly and concisely in the bug tracking database.
- Perform regression testing, retesting resolved issues, and verifying fixes.
- Provide detailed feedback on game mechanics, design, and user experience.
- Collaborate closely with development, design, and production teams to understand game features and testing requirements.
- Contribute to the improvement of existing test processes and methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in game quality assurance.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings, providing clear and concise updates on testing progress and issues.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated passion for video games, especially RPGs and the Dragon Age series.
- Basic understanding of software testing principles or a strong willingness to learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field.
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Experience with different gaming platforms (PC, Console).
- Prior experience with game modding or community testing.
