Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Worker to join our compassionate team in Parry Sound, Ontario. This full-time position offers comprehensive Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) and full relocation support for eligible international candidates, facilitating a smooth transition to Canada. As an Experienced Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality personal care, assistance, and companionship to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Assist residents with daily living activities (ADLs) in accordance with individual care plans.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental health to the nursing team.
- Help residents with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Support residents in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Engage residents in meaningful social activities and promote their independence.
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience as a Care Worker or equivalent role.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and person-centred care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong observational and reporting skills.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting and transferring residents.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Personal Support Work (PSW) or a related healthcare field.
- Experience working in a long-term care or retirement home setting.
- Knowledge of local health and safety regulations in Ontario.
- Proficiency in additional languages relevant to a diverse resident population.
