Job Description
Join the Grimmway Farms team as a Farmers Market Stall Setup Helper! We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to assist with the setup and breakdown of our farmers market stalls on weekends. This role is crucial for ensuring our fresh produce is beautifully displayed and ready for our customers. You’ll be an essential part of bringing farm-fresh goodness directly to the community, requiring early morning starts and physical activity in an outdoor market setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive early to assist with the loading and transport of market stall equipment and produce from designated storage to the market location.
- Efficiently set up market tents, tables, and display units according to established layouts and branding guidelines.
- Unpack and artfully arrange fresh produce, ensuring high quality and appealing presentation.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking during market hours as needed.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service, answering basic questions about products.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the stall throughout market hours.
- Efficiently dismantle the market stall and pack all equipment and remaining produce at the end of the day.
- Assist with the loading and transport of items back to storage.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, especially for early morning shifts.
- Excellent time management and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, farmers market, or event setup role.
- Knowledge of fresh produce handling and display techniques.
- A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
