Job Description
Are you a highly energetic, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Amazon is seeking dedicated Fulfillment Runners to join our team in Jurupa Valley, CA. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency of our fulfillment operations by handling urgent, time-sensitive tasks and contributing to daily “sprints” to meet critical deadlines. As a Fulfillment Runner, you will be responsible for quickly locating, moving, and processing items, ensuring smooth workflow and rapid response to operational needs. This is an on-site position requiring physical stamina and a commitment to precision and speed.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute time-sensitive tasks and "sprints" to support fulfillment operations, ensuring products move swiftly through the facility.
- Locate and retrieve specific items from storage locations with accuracy and speed, often under tight deadlines.
- Transport materials, products, and equipment between various areas of the fulfillment center using manual or powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including counting, scanning, and organizing products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding task status and potential issues.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and workflows in a dynamic operational setting.
- Perform quality checks on items to ensure they meet Amazon standards before processing.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 49 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer literacy to operate scanning devices and internal systems.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety procedures and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics environment.
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as pallet jacks or order pickers (certification not required but a plus).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt to new processes quickly.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
