Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Google Search Quality Analyst to join our fully remote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in evaluating and improving the quality of search engine results for both Google and Bing. You will analyze search queries, assess the relevance and accuracy of various web pages, and provide critical feedback that directly influences the performance of leading search engines. This is a 100% remote contract position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge AI development from your home office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate search engine results for accuracy, relevance, and overall quality against specific guidelines.
  • Analyze web content, identifying spam, inappropriate content, and other quality issues.
  • Provide detailed, objective, and consistent feedback on various types of media, including web pages, images, and videos.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving search engine guidelines and apply them rigorously.
  • Participate in calibration sessions and maintain high levels of quality assurance.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers regarding task progress and challenges.

Required Skills

  • Excellent understanding of web content and search engine functionality (Google and Bing).
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and nuance.
  • Native-level proficiency in English, with strong reading comprehension and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a personal computer.
  • Comfortable with complex guidelines and the ability to apply them consistently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in search quality evaluation, content moderation, or data annotation.
  • Familiarity with various online research tools and methodologies.
  • A degree in a related field such as linguistics, computer science, or information science.
