Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior DevOps Engineer with a keen interest in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to kick-start their career in DevOps, focusing specifically on cloud infrastructure and automation within the Google ecosystem. You will work closely with senior engineers to build, deploy, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud-native applications. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation, and management of CI/CD pipelines using Google Cloud tools and other relevant technologies.
- Support the deployment and operational stability of applications on Google Cloud Platform.
- Contribute to the automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure and application performance, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of new features and services.
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting activities.
- Help maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
- Learn and apply best practices for security, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in GCP environments.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, preferably with some exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Understanding of version control systems, especially Git.
- Eagerness to learn and a strong problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts.
- Any personal projects or labs demonstrating an interest in cloud or DevOps.
