Job Description
This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our operations team in the downstream energy sector. The Junior Downstream Operations Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting the daily administrative and logistical functions of our terminal operations, ensuring smooth data flow and record-keeping for the movement of refined products. This role offers a stable environment with opportunities for learning and growth within a critical industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of operational logs and reports.
- Process and file shipping and receiving documents for refined products.
- Communicate effectively with terminal operators, truck drivers, and internal departments.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.
- Support inventory reconciliation and tracking activities.
- Handle general office duties, including managing correspondence and scheduling.
- Learn and utilize proprietary operations software for data management.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of administrative procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Previous clerical or administrative experience, even entry-level
- Familiarity with the energy or logistics industry
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
