Key Responsibilities
- Assist chemists and senior lab personnel with routine laboratory procedures and experiments.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory samples, reagents, and equipment.
- Perform basic analytical tests and record observations accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments under supervision.
- Document experimental data and results clearly and precisely.
- Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and report needs.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Basic understanding of chemistry principles is a plus, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions meticulously.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new laboratory techniques and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/certificate in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
- Prior experience in a scientific or technical setting (e.g., school lab projects, volunteer work).
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols.
