Job Description

Are you passionate about helping people and eager to kickstart your career in technology? TELUS is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Virtual Tech Support Advisors (Tier 1). This is an entry-level, full-time 100% remote position where we provide comprehensive training—no prior tech support experience required! You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, providing friendly and efficient technical assistance for a range of TELUS products and services. If you’re a quick learner with excellent communication skills and a desire to make a difference, we want to hear from you! This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, chat, and email regarding technical issues with internet, TV, and phone services.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical problems, guiding customers through step-by-step solutions.
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 support when necessary, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Document all customer interactions and technical issues accurately in our CRM system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a positive and empathetic attitude.
  • Stay updated on TELUS products, services, and troubleshooting procedures through continuous training.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
  • A dedicated, quiet home workspace with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience (e.g., retail, call center).
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts (e.g., Wi-Fi, modems, routers).
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
