Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Maritime Dock Worker with a focus on Port Logistics to join our team in Greeley, CO. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods through our inland logistics hub, handling cargo that is part of larger maritime supply chains. You will be responsible for the safe and timely loading, unloading, and movement of freight, ensuring accurate inventory and adherence to all safety protocols. This position offers an opportunity to be a vital part of a global logistics network, contributing to the seamless delivery of goods from ports to their final destinations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload cargo from trucks, railcars, and other conveyances using appropriate equipment.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies, reporting issues as necessary.
  • Organize and stack cargo according to warehouse procedures and space optimization plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of all goods received, stored, and dispatched.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Participate in regular inventory counts and assist with warehouse organization.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and timely operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and perform strenuous physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cargo.
  • Basic mathematical skills for counting and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety procedures and practices.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, dock, or logistics environment.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of basic inventory management principles.
