Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Microsoft Account Auditor with a strong focus on accuracy and financial oversight to join our remote team. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and compliance of our clients’ Microsoft licensing, usage, and financial records. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and a solid understanding of financial auditing principles as they apply to large enterprise software environments, particularly Microsoft products. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of client Microsoft accounts to verify licensing compliance and usage accuracy.
- Analyze financial data related to Microsoft agreements, invoices, and spending to identify discrepancies or potential cost savings.
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather necessary data and clarify audit-related inquiries.
- Stay current with Microsoft licensing policies, product changes, and financial reporting standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for Microsoft account management and auditing processes.
- Present audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Ensure all audit activities comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing, finance, or a related field, with a focus on technology or software assets.
- Strong understanding of financial auditing principles and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends or anomalies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft licensing models (e.g., Enterprise Agreement, MPSA, CSP).
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools or ERP systems.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA, CSAM).
- Experience working with large enterprise clients or within a consulting firm.
