Job Description

We are seeking a highly accurate and efficient Pharmacy Data Processor to join our remote team. This crucial role involves processing a high volume of pharmacy-related data with exceptional precision and speed. The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering, verifying, and maintaining patient and prescription information within our systems, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a vital part of our healthcare operations from your home office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and process high volumes of prescription and patient data into designated systems.
  • Verify data for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established protocols.
  • Identify and correct data discrepancies and escalate complex issues as necessary.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding data processing status and issues.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with other data entry and administrative tasks as needed to support pharmacy operations.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven ability to perform high-volume data entry with exceptional accuracy
  • Proficient typing speed (minimum 45 WPM with high accuracy)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems and data entry software
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of, or willingness to learn, basic medical and pharmacy terminology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a data entry role within a pharmacy or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality best practices
  • Associate’s degree or relevant certification in medical administration or related field
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management software systems
