Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to join our Physical Merchandising team. This role is crucial for managing the inventory of our physical products, ensuring optimal stock levels, efficient distribution, and accurate tracking from production to consumer. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, experience with inventory management systems, and a passion for operational excellence within a fast-paced entertainment environment. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels across various product categories and distribution centers to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Forecast future inventory needs based on sales data, marketing initiatives, and production schedules.
- Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and sales teams to ensure smooth product flow and timely delivery.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Generate reports on inventory performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
- Manage returns, damaged goods, and obsolescence processes to minimize losses.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate inbound shipments.
- Utilize inventory management software and other analytical tools to drive informed decision-making.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain analysis, or a similar analytical role.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) or similar ERP software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in the retail, consumer goods, or entertainment merchandising industry.
- Knowledge of SQL or other database querying languages.
- Familiarity with forecasting methodologies and tools.
