Job Description

The Sterling Family Office is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Part-time Nanny (Junior) – Weekend Mother’s Helper focus to provide exceptional care and support for our children. This role is ideal for an energetic and responsible individual looking to gain experience in a supportive family environment, primarily assisting over weekends. As a Weekend Mother’s Helper, you will work closely with the primary caregiver, offering an extra set of hands and engaging our children in age-appropriate activities. We value creativity, reliability, and a genuine love for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage children in creative play, educational activities, and outdoor adventures.
  • Assist with meal and snack preparation for children.
  • Help maintain a tidy and organized children's play area and bedrooms.
  • Support with bedtime routines and morning preparations on weekends.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's activities and any notable events.
  • Perform light household tasks related to the children, such as children's laundry or tidying toys.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 6 months) in childcare, babysitting, or a similar role.
  • Genuine love for children and a patient, nurturing demeanor.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to multitask and manage children's schedules effectively.
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain quickly).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in early childhood education or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience with children aged 2-8.
  • References from previous childcare positions.
  • Ability to swim (for supervision during pool activities, if applicable).
