Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Pediatric Nurse to join our dedicated team in Minneapolis. This is an incredible opportunity for a nurse passionate about pediatric care, providing direct patient care to infants, children, and adolescents in various clinical settings. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and other patient data, documenting observations accurately.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and child-friendly environment.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in pediatric nursing.

Required Skills

  • Valid RN license in Minnesota or eligibility for licensure (NCLEX-RN exam passed and ready for endorsement/reciprocity).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a pediatric setting (hospital, clinic, or specialized unit).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse patient populations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Specialty certification in Pediatric Nursing (CPN).
  • Experience with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic.
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to the local community.
