Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Pharmaceutical Courier for a high-security, 100% indoor role within our Pasco, Washington facility. This critical position is responsible for the safe, secure, and timely internal transport of highly sensitive pharmaceutical products and controlled substances within a regulated environment. This is not an external delivery role; all movements will occur within the confines of our secure premises. Adherence to strict security protocols and regulatory guidelines is paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and securely transport pharmaceutical products, including controlled substances, between various internal departments and designated secure locations within the facility.
- Strictly adhere to all company security protocols, regulatory requirements (e.g., DEA, FDA), and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling and transport.
- Maintain accurate records of all transported items, including chain of custody documentation and digital tracking systems.
- Conduct pre- and post-transport inspections of security containers and equipment.
- Report any discrepancies, security breaches, or unusual incidents immediately to supervisory personnel.
- Operate internal transport equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with warehouse, pharmacy, and quality control teams to ensure smooth and secure product flow.
- Participate in regular security training and compliance refreshers.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrable commitment to accuracy, safety, and security protocols.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures meticulously.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Clean background check and ability to pass drug screening.
- Strong communication skills for reporting and coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security-sensitive role or regulated environment (e.g., healthcare, logistics, manufacturing).
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical handling or cold chain procedures.
- Experience with inventory management systems or barcode scanning technology.
- Basic knowledge of DEA or FDA regulations related to controlled substances.
