Job Description

Join OptumRx as a Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) Aide, working remotely from a corporate office setting in Huntington Beach, CA. In this vital support role, you will assist our PBM teams in the efficient management and delivery of pharmacy benefit services. You will contribute to various operational tasks, ensuring smooth workflows and accurate data handling. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of pharmacy benefits, working within a leading healthcare organization. This is a 100% remote position, providing flexibility while maintaining a connection to our corporate team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to PBM teams, including data entry, documentation, and record keeping.
  • Assist with the processing and review of claims, prior authorizations, and member inquiries as directed.
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments to gather information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Organize and manage electronic files and databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Respond to email inquiries and phone calls in a professional and timely manner.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of administrative processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare, pharmacy, or office administration setting.
