Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and accurate Pharmacy Data Entry Clerk to join our remote team. This is a crucial role for ensuring the precise and timely processing of pharmacy-related data, supporting our commitment to patient safety and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be adept at working independently in a remote environment, possess strong organizational skills, and have a meticulous approach to data entry. This position is 100% remote and does not involve any phone calls.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter prescription data, patient information, and insurance details into our pharmacy management system.
- Verify data for accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting errors as needed.
- Process refill requests and prescription transfers according to established protocols.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient and company information.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members virtually to resolve data discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and prioritize workload to meet productivity and quality standards.
- Perform regular data audits to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as required.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience with data entry, preferably in a healthcare or pharmacy setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and data entry software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with high accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
- Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT).
- Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmaceutical abbreviations.
- Experience with pharmacy management systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, QS/1).
- Prior experience in a remote work setting.
