Job Description
We are seeking a talented and creative Pinterest Template Designer for a side gig opportunity, focused on developing sellable assets. In this 100% remote contract role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing high-quality, engaging Pinterest templates that our sellers can utilize to enhance their shop presence and marketing efforts. This role requires a keen eye for aesthetics, a deep understanding of Pinterest’s platform nuances, and the ability to create visually compelling and conversion-focused designs. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for design and a strong portfolio showcasing their template design capabilities, particularly within social media contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop a diverse range of Pinterest templates (e.g., product showcase, mood boards, promotions, infographics) optimized for engagement and conversion.
- Ensure all designs align with current Pinterest best practices, trends, and visual guidelines.
- Create templates that are easy for sellers to customize using common design software (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Focus on creating 'sellable assets' that are appealing and valuable to our diverse seller base.
- Maintain brand consistency and aesthetic quality across all created templates.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Stay updated with the latest design tools, software, and Pinterest trends.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator)
- Strong understanding of Pinterest platform functionalities and visual best practices
- Excellent sense of typography, color theory, and layout design
- Ability to create aesthetically pleasing and conversion-oriented visual content
- Strong portfolio demonstrating template design and social media graphic experience
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Fluent in English (US English) for communication and design instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating templates for a marketplace or e-commerce platform
- Knowledge of current digital marketing trends and strategies
- Familiarity with various seller needs across different product categories
- Previous experience working remotely or in a freelance capacity
