Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Apple Security Admin to join our global security team. In this 100% remote role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding Apple’s internal infrastructure and user data by managing and enhancing security controls across our Apple device ecosystem. You will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining robust security measures, ensuring compliance, and responding to security incidents effectively. This position requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of Apple platforms, security best practices, and a commitment to protecting sensitive information from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain security configurations for macOS, iOS, and tvOS devices using MDM solutions (e.g., Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune).
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures for Apple devices and services.
- Monitor security logs and alerts, performing initial incident response and escalation as necessary.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
- Administer identity and access management (IAM) solutions specific to Apple environments.
- Provide technical expertise and support for Apple security-related issues to internal teams.
- Stay current with the latest Apple security vulnerabilities, threats, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into new deployments and existing systems.
- Document security processes, configurations, and incident response procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Apple System Administrator or Security Administrator.
- Strong expertise in macOS, iOS, and related Apple services.
- Proficiency with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms (e.g., Jamf Pro, Workspace ONE, Microsoft Intune).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, AppleScript) for automation.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for a remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or CompTIA Security+.
- Experience with cloud security principles and practices (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions on Apple platforms.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level Active Directory and LDAP integrations for Apple devices.
- Experience in a large-scale, complex enterprise environment.
