Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Solar Panel Cleaning Laborer to join our growing team in Banbury. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and longevity of our solar installations. You will be primarily responsible for the safe and effective cleaning of solar panels, which involves significant roof work and the precise operation of squeegee tools. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to strict safety protocols, and the ability to work comfortably at heights. Key Responsibilities
- Safely access and work on rooftops to clean solar panels, following all safety guidelines and using appropriate fall protection equipment.
- Operate squeegees, brushes, and other cleaning tools effectively to remove dirt, dust, grime, and debris from solar panel surfaces.
- Prepare cleaning solutions and ensure proper dilution and application to avoid damage to panels.
- Inspect panels for any signs of damage or wear during the cleaning process and report findings to the supervisor.
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and tools in good working order, performing basic maintenance as required.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, at all times.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standard.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job progress and any potential issues.
Required Skills
- Ability to work at heights and on sloped surfaces, demonstrating a strong understanding of safety practices.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding manual labor, including lifting and carrying equipment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail for effective squeegee operation and panel cleaning.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures related to working outdoors and at heights.
Preferred Qualifications
