Job Description

Are you passionate about The Sims and have a keen eye for detail? Electronic Arts is looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Tester to join our team for The Sims franchise. This is a unique opportunity to work from the comfort of your home with flexible hours, contributing directly to the quality and enjoyment of one of the world’s most beloved life simulation games. You will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs and issues to ensure a high-quality player experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases and test plans for The Sims games across various platforms.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs, glitches, and other issues using designated bug tracking software.
  • Provide clear, concise, and detailed bug reports, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
  • Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issues are resolved without introducing new problems.
  • Collaborate with development teams, designers, and other QA testers to understand game features and testing requirements.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings, providing updates on testing progress and challenges.
  • Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
  • Provide constructive feedback on game features, usability, and overall player experience.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience playing The Sims franchise games.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency in using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Basic understanding of software development life cycles and QA methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in Quality Assurance or game testing.
  • Familiarity with game development tools and engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
  • Experience with different gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
  • Degree or certification in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Game Design).
  • Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of game mechanics and user experience.
