Job Description
Join CVS Health as a Retail Pharmacy Technician, where you’ll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacists. This position offers a flexible schedule with all shifts available, allowing you to find a work-life balance that suits your needs. You will be responsible for assisting patients with prescriptions, managing inventory, and contributing to the efficient operation of our pharmacy. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry, insurance verification, and patient record management.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues with professionalism.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves, organizing medications, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions accurately.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a retail/healthcare setting
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
