Job Description
Join the elite team of UPS Feeder Drivers, a critical role in our extensive logistics network. This position offers consistent routes, excellent pay, and the significant advantage of no-touch freight – meaning you’ll focus solely on safely transporting trailers between UPS facilities, not loading or unloading. We are seeking professional CDL-A drivers who prioritize safety, efficiency, and reliability to maintain the smooth flow of our operations. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations (doubles and triples may be required) to transport freight between designated UPS hubs and service centers.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment, documenting any issues and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate records, including logs, DVIRs, and trip sheets.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery and pick-up of trailers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding any delays, issues, or route changes.
- Operate vehicles in various weather conditions and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) with no preventable accidents or serious violations
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with doubles and triples endorsements
- HazMat endorsement
- Previous experience in a no-touch freight environment
- Geographic knowledge of the Pacific Northwest region
