Job Description
UPS is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as Maternity Support. As a Maternity Support specialist, you will serve as a crucial resource, guiding employees through their maternity leave process, ensuring they have access to necessary information and resources, and facilitating a smooth transition before, during, and after their leave. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding maternity leave policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Provide comprehensive guidance and support to employees before, during, and after their maternity leave.
- Assist employees with the completion and submission of necessary paperwork for leave requests and benefits.
- Coordinate with HR, benefits, and payroll departments to ensure accurate processing of leave and pay.
- Maintain confidential records and track employee leave statuses.
- Facilitate communication between employees on leave and their departments as needed, ensuring a smooth return to work.
- Develop and maintain a repository of resources (e.g., childcare options, support groups) for new parents.
- Conduct informational sessions or workshops on maternity benefits and related topics.
- Advocate for employee needs and ensure compliance with relevant federal and state leave laws.
Required Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a human resources, administrative support, or employee relations role.
- Knowledge of federal and state maternity leave laws (e.g., FMLA) and related benefits.
- Experience with HR information systems (HRIS).
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
