Job Description

Microsoft is seeking a dedicated User Interface (UI) Evaluator to join our innovative AI Experience Testing team. In this fully remote role, you will play a crucial part in assessing the usability, intuitiveness, and overall quality of our cutting-edge AI-powered products and features. You will work closely with product designers, engineers, and researchers to identify areas for improvement, provide actionable feedback, and ensure our AI solutions deliver seamless and delightful user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough UI evaluations and usability testing for various AI applications and features.
- Identify, document, and prioritize UI/UX issues, bugs, and inconsistencies in AI-driven interfaces.
- Provide detailed, constructive feedback and recommendations for improving user interaction and AI output clarity.
- Develop and execute test cases based on design specifications and user stories for AI products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to advocate for user needs.
- Contribute to the refinement of evaluation methodologies and best practices for AI experience testing.
- Stay informed about industry trends in AI, UX design, and evaluation techniques.
Required Skills
- Proven understanding of user interface (UI) principles and usability heuristics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple evaluation tasks simultaneously in a remote environment.
- Basic familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts and machine learning applications.
- Proficiency in using bug tracking and project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with user research methods, including moderated and unmoderated usability testing.
- Prior experience evaluating AI-powered products or features, such as chatbots, voice assistants, or recommendation engines.
- Familiarity with data analysis techniques to interpret user feedback and evaluation metrics.
- Strong empathy for users and a passion for creating intuitive and effective digital experiences.
