Job Description
We are urgently seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Contract Nanny to join a wonderful family in Charlotte, NC. This position requires an immediate start and a commitment to providing exceptional care, fostering a positive environment, and engaging actively with children. The ideal candidate will be proactive, responsible, and possess a genuine love for childcare, capable of managing daily routines, educational activities, and light household tasks related to the children.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for children, adhering to established routines and schedules.
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for children.
- Assist with homework and school projects.
- Transport children to and from school, activities, and appointments safely.
- Maintain a tidy and organized children's play area and bedrooms.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities.
- Manage children's laundry and ensure their belongings are clean and organized.
- Implement positive discipline techniques as discussed with parents.
- Handle minor first aid situations and emergency protocols with composure.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable nanny or professional childcare experience.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Reliable and insured vehicle.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to create engaging and educational activities for children.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Non-smoker.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience with multiple children of varying ages.
- Experience with special needs children, if applicable (specify family needs).
- References from previous nanny positions.
