Job Description

Join Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) as a Virtual Admissions Representative and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our students. This 100% remote position empowers you to connect with prospective students across the nation, guiding them through the admissions process for our diverse online programs. You will be the primary point of contact, providing comprehensive information about our academic offerings, application requirements, and the unique benefits of an SIUE education. We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills who is passionate about education and committed to helping students achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with prospective students via phone, email, virtual meetings, and online chat platforms.
  • Provide detailed information about SIUE's online academic programs, admission criteria, and application procedures.
  • Guide students through each stage of the application and enrollment process, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience.
  • Conduct virtual informational sessions and presentations to showcase SIUE's offerings and answer student questions.
  • Follow up diligently on all inquiries and applications to maintain engagement and progress toward enrollment.
  • Achieve and exceed defined enrollment targets and key performance indicators.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all interactions and progress using our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with other university departments, including financial aid and academic advisors, to support student needs.
  • Stay current on all SIUE programs, policies, and industry trends to provide accurate and timely information.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability to build rapport remotely.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, online communication tools, and standard office applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and achieve performance goals in a remote environment.
  • A proactive and goal-oriented mindset with a passion for helping students succeed.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Marketing, Education, Business).
  • Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, or customer service, preferably in a virtual setting.
  • Familiarity with higher education systems and online learning platforms.
