Job Description
As a Warehouse Clerk with a focus on Filing and Records, you will be an integral part of our Dallas logistics operation, responsible for the meticulous organization, maintenance, and retrieval of essential warehouse documentation. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to accuracy, and the ability to manage both physical and digital records efficiently to support our fast-paced environment and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately file, organize, and maintain physical and digital records for incoming and outgoing shipments, including bills of lading, packing slips, and inventory sheets.
- Perform data entry to update inventory management systems and track document movements with precision.
- Retrieve documents promptly upon request for audits, inquiries, or operational needs, ensuring timely information access.
- Ensure strict compliance with company record-keeping policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies in documentation to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure filing area and overall work environment.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments regarding document status and information requests.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven ability to organize and maintain detailed records effectively.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse setting.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks that may require standing, bending, and reaching throughout the workday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, clerical, or records management role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or logistics software.
- Knowledge of standard warehouse operations and safety procedures.
