Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Houston distribution center as a Warehouse Order Picker. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment within our fast-paced warehouse environment. This position does not require forklift operation, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to start or continue a career in logistics without specialized equipment training. Your precision and efficiency will be key to ensuring our products reach our stores and customers promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or handheld devices.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and descriptions to ensure order accuracy.
- Safely and efficiently move picked items to packing stations or loading docks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or hand carts to transport goods.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment.
