Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Weekend Night Nanny to provide exceptional overnight care for an infant/toddler in a private residence in Arvada, CO. This is a part-time position, crucial for supporting parents’ rest and ensuring the well-being of their child during weekend nights. The ideal candidate will have a gentle demeanor, a thorough understanding of infant/toddler sleep patterns, and the ability to create a calm and nurturing environment. This role requires professionalism, reliability, and a proactive approach to nighttime care. Premium pay reflects the specialized nature and critical importance of this overnight support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and loving care for the infant/toddler throughout the night.
  • Handle all nighttime feedings, diaper changes, and soothing.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent sleep routine, adapting as necessary.
  • Monitor the child's health and well-being, reporting any concerns to parents.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized nursery area.
  • Document daily logs detailing sleep, feeding, and changing schedules.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment at all times.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of professional night nanny or newborn care specialist experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of infant and toddler development and sleep science.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (infant/child focus).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, reliable, and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to family's preferences.
  • Must have own reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) or Postpartum Doula.
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience with sleep training methods.
  • Non-smoker.
