Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Weekend Tour Bus Driver to join our team in Orem, Utah. This part-time role focuses on regional travel, providing passengers with exceptional and comfortable tours to various attractions within the state. The ideal candidate will possess a valid CDL with a passenger endorsement, a clean driving record, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for safely operating a tour bus, adhering to schedules, assisting passengers, and ensuring a pleasant journey for all onboard.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tour bus along designated regional routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Maintain strict adherence to tour schedules and itineraries, ensuring timely departures and arrivals.
- Provide friendly, professional, and informative service to all passengers, assisting with boarding, disembarking, and luggage as needed.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including logbooks, incident reports, and passenger manifests accurately.
- Ensure the cleanliness and comfort of the bus interior throughout the tour.
- Respond calmly and effectively to any on-road emergencies or passenger concerns.
Required Skills
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Excellent driving record with no major infractions.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bus driving experience.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage time effectively and navigate routes efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics for troubleshooting minor issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a tour bus driver or motorcoach operator.
- Familiarity with popular tourist destinations and regional attractions in Utah.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- A passion for travel and sharing local insights with passengers.
