Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Picker to join our operations in Summertown, Oxford. This is a crucial role focused on accurately selecting items from designated locations within our clean, climate-controlled facility. You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring that products are ready for the next stage of our streamlined logistics process. This position offers a stable work environment, consistent hours, and a focus on hands-on task execution without the need for phone interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and retrieve products according to order specifications using handheld scanning devices.
- Ensure the correct quantity and quality of items are selected for each order.
- Organize and prepare picked items for packing or dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by adhering to all company policies and safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently after appropriate training (e.g., pallet jacks, where applicable).
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 15 kg (33 lbs) unassisted.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer literacy for using scanning equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory, or fulfillment center environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or handheld scanners.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
