Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective online tuition sessions in English and Maths to children aged 4-14.
  • Follow Explore Learning's proven curriculum and adapt teaching methods to individual student needs.
  • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child's development.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanour during all online interactions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance tutoring skills.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and parents.
  • Strong academic proficiency in English and Maths (GCSE grade B/Level 6 or equivalent preferred).
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with online learning platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children (e.g., babysitting, mentoring, youth work).
  • Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a university degree programme.
  • Knowledge of the UK national curriculum.
  • Experience with online teaching or virtual communication tools.
