Job Description

As a Junior Tutor, you will provide personalised support in English and Maths, helping students build confidence and achieve their full potential, all from the comfort of your own home.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective online tuition sessions in English and Maths to children aged 4-14.
- Follow Explore Learning's proven curriculum and adapt teaching methods to individual student needs.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child's development.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanour during all online interactions.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance tutoring skills.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and parents.
- Strong academic proficiency in English and Maths (GCSE grade B/Level 6 or equivalent preferred).
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with online learning platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children (e.g., babysitting, mentoring, youth work).
- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a university degree programme.
- Knowledge of the UK national curriculum.
