Job Description
We are actively seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technicians to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. This position offers flexible Part-Time and Full-Time shifts, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for immediate employment with varying schedules. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting our pharmacists, ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional customer service to our valued patients. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including prescription data entry, counting, pouring, measuring, and labeling.
- Verify prescription information with patients and healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate patient profiles and medication records.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
- Process prescription billing and insurance claims.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering patient questions and addressing concerns.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification/licensure as required by the state of Arizona
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software systems
