Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-time Clinical Aide to join our team, specifically focusing on weekend healthcare support. This vital role involves assisting nursing staff and other healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care, maintaining a clean and organized patient environment, and ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients during weekend shifts. The ideal candidate will be reliable, empathetic, and possess a strong desire to contribute to a positive patient experience in a fast-paced clinical setting. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) accurately.
- Document patient observations, care provided, and changes in condition.
- Help patients with mobility, transferring, and positioning.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment.
- Respond to patient calls promptly and respectfully.
- Assist with inventory and stocking of supplies.
- Transport patients and specimens as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of patient care principles.
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong empathy and compassion for patients.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Physical stamina to assist patients and perform duties requiring standing, walking, lifting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or enrollment in a nursing program.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting (hospital, clinic, long-term care).
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Basic computer skills for documentation.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
