Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Window Shutter Assistant to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for stable, ongoing work in a supportive environment. As a Window Shutter Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the installation process, assisting our lead installers with measurements, preparation, and fitting of various window treatments, with a primary focus on shutters. Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are key. No prior experience in window treatments is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead installers with the accurate measurement and preparation of window spaces for shutter installation.
  • Unpack, inspect, and organize window treatment products, ensuring all components are present and undamaged.
  • Provide hands-on support during the installation of shutters, blinds, shades, and other window coverings.
  • Handle tools and equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Learn and adhere to all company safety protocols and installation best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and occasionally with clients to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of company vehicles and tools as needed.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Strong manual dexterity and basic familiarity with hand tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid California Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in a hands-on, general labor, or construction-related role.
