Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Online Cloud Support Associate to join our growing Google Cloud team in Aberdeen. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for Google Cloud customers, providing technical assistance and guidance for a wide range of cloud products and services. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about technology and customer service, offering significant potential for career advancement within Google Cloud. You will help troubleshoot issues, answer technical questions, and ensure our customers have a seamless experience with Google Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line technical support to Google Cloud customers via online channels (chat, email, forums).
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Google Cloud Platform products and services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Networking, and more.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior support engineers or product teams when necessary, ensuring clear communication and detailed documentation.
  • Educate customers on best practices for Google Cloud usage and help them optimize their cloud environments.
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles and internal documentation to improve support efficiency.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and strive for continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with Google Cloud technologies and trends.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Linux, Windows) and networking fundamentals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud providers (AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) or basic programming concepts.
  • Prior experience in a technical support or customer service role.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Digital Leader, Associate Cloud Engineer).
