Job Description

Are you eager to kickstart a career in bicycle mechanics? Micycle Gosport is seeking a motivated and hands-on Bicycle Wheel Lacing Helper to join our dynamic workshop team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone with little to no prior experience but a strong desire to learn the intricate art of wheel building and general bike maintenance. You will work closely with our experienced mechanics, gaining valuable skills and contributing to the smooth operation of our busy repair shop. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead mechanics with wheel lacing, truing, and dishing under supervision.
  • Prepare spokes, hubs, and rims for wheel assembly.
  • Organise and maintain workshop tools and equipment.
  • Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
  • Assist with general bicycle assembly, PDI (pre-delivery inspection), and basic repairs.
  • Learn and apply best practices for bicycle component handling and storage.
  • Support inventory management for workshop parts and supplies.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
