Job Description
Are you passionate about video games, especially sports titles, and eager to kickstart your career in the gaming industry? Electronic Arts is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented EA Sports QA Aide to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who have a keen eye for detail, a love for gaming, and are ready to learn the ropes of quality assurance. As a QA Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and playability of our world-renowned EA Sports titles, working closely with experienced testers to identify and report bugs and glitches. No prior experience is required—just a high school diploma or GED and a strong desire to contribute to making great games!
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional and regression testing on EA Sports game titles across various platforms.
- Execute detailed test plans and checklists to identify software defects, glitches, and inconsistencies.
- Document and report bugs and issues clearly and concisely using internal bug tracking systems.
- Provide accurate and timely feedback on game quality, stability, and overall user experience.
- Follow precise instructions and reproduce reported bugs for verification purposes.
- Collaborate effectively with senior QA testers and development teams.
- Assist in maintaining test environments and equipment as needed.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong passion for video games, particularly EA Sports franchises (e.g., FIFA, Madden NFL, NHL)
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot minute inconsistencies
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with various software applications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with different gaming platforms (e.g., PlayStation, Xbox, PC)
- Experience playing and understanding game mechanics of EA Sports titles
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts or methodologies (though not required, it's a plus)
