Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Maintenance Aide to join our team in Gilbert, Arizona. In this role, you will play a crucial support role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our fleet and facility equipment. You will work closely with senior mechanics, learning valuable skills and contributing to a safe and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior mechanics with routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on fleet vehicles (tractors, trailers) and material handling equipment.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as fluid checks, tire pressure adjustments, cleaning, and parts retrieval.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area, tools, and equipment.
  • Support inventory management by assisting with ordering, receiving, and stocking parts and supplies.
  • Operate shop equipment safely under supervision.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and environmental regulations.
  • Document maintenance activities and assist with record-keeping as required.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of mechanical principles or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Basic computer literacy for record-keeping.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a shop or mechanical environment (e.g., automotive repair, industrial maintenance).
  • Vocational or technical training in vehicle maintenance.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations related to vehicle maintenance.
