Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to start a career in the skilled trades without prior experience? ShinePro Property Services is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Gutter Cleaning Trainees. We provide comprehensive training, a supportive work environment, and all the necessary safety gear to ensure you can perform your duties confidently and securely. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, isn’t afraid of heights, and is eager to learn a valuable trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in on-the-job training sessions for safe gutter cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Assist experienced technicians in cleaning gutters, downspouts, and eavestroughs to remove debris and ensure proper water flow.
- Learn and strictly adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures, including ladder safety and working at heights.
- Help with the setup and takedown of equipment, including ladders, safety harnesses, and cleaning tools.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service while on job sites.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions promptly to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Eagerness and willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
- Ability to work comfortably at heights on ladders.
- Physical fitness to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience with general labor or property maintenance (even if not professional).
