Job Description
Are you handy with tools and love the satisfaction of building something well? TaskRabbit is looking for reliable and detail-oriented IKEA Dresser Assemblers to join our network of independent contractors in Camden Town, London. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy practical work, have excellent problem-solving skills, and want to earn cash weekly by helping local clients with their furniture assembly needs. You will be responsible for independently assembling various IKEA dresser models, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining a high standard of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble IKEA dressers and other flat-pack furniture items accurately and efficiently according to manufacturer instructions.
- Communicate professionally with clients to confirm appointments, understand specific needs, and manage expectations.
- Ensure all components are correctly installed and the finished product is stable and safe.
- Utilize your own set of appropriate tools for various assembly tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after assembly.
- Provide exceptional customer service, leaving clients satisfied with the completed work.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to assemble flat-pack furniture, particularly IKEA products.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex visual instructions.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Possession of a comprehensive set of assembly tools (e.g., screwdrivers, Allen keys, mallet, drill, measuring tape).
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle furniture components and perform assembly tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a furniture assembler, handyman, or similar role.
- A valid UK driver's license and access to reliable transportation to carry tools and potentially reach various client locations.
- A track record of positive customer feedback or ratings in a service-oriented role.
- Ability to assemble a wide range of IKEA furniture, beyond just dressers.
