Job Description
Join XPO Logistics as a Part-Time Magazine Sorter! This is an excellent opportunity for students looking for indoor work in a supportive and structured environment. As a Magazine Sorter, you will be responsible for accurately sorting various publications, ensuring they are prepared for distribution according to specific guidelines. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work consistently. This is a hands-on, on-site position within our Cicero distribution center.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments of magazines and other publications.
- Accurately sort magazines by title, date, and destination according to established procedures.
- Inspect publications for damage or defects and report any issues.
- Stack and organize sorted materials on pallets or in designated containers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand sorting instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 20 lbs regularly.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in high school or college.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or sorting environment is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
