Job Description
Are you an enthusiastic individual with boundless energy and a passion for the great outdoors? Pursuit Collection is seeking an Outdoor Adventure Helper to join our dynamic team in Banff. This role is perfect for someone who loves being active, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be instrumental in assisting with various outdoor activities, ensuring guest safety, and enhancing their overall experience amidst the stunning Canadian Rockies. This is a hands-on, high-energy position that requires physical stamina and a positive, can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead guides and staff in the preparation and execution of various outdoor activities (e.g., hiking, interpretive tours, equipment setup).
- Engage with guests, provide general information about the local area, and ensure a positive and safe experience for everyone.
- Monitor guest safety during activities, identify potential hazards, and respond to minor incidents appropriately.
- Maintain and organize adventure equipment, ensuring it is clean, functional, and ready for use.
- Help with setting up and taking down activity sites or stations.
- Provide basic first aid assistance as needed (training will be provided).
- Contribute to a positive team environment through active participation and support of colleagues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support outdoor operations.
Required Skills
- High level of physical fitness and stamina, capable of prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Exceptional enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly in dynamic situations.
- A genuine passion for the outdoors and working with people.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or outdoor activity-related role.
- Basic knowledge of the Banff area, its wildlife, and local flora.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
