Job Description
We are seeking a highly responsible, experienced, and compassionate Part-time Babysitter for weekend night shifts to support a valued family within the Banner – University Medical Center Tucson community. This role is perfect for a trusted local individual who can provide engaging and safe care for children in their home. The ideal candidate will be a nurturing presence, capable of creating a fun and secure environment, primarily during evening and nighttime hours on weekends. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, engaging, and safe supervision for children during weekend evening and night hours.
- Plan and engage children in age-appropriate activities, including games, reading, and creative play.
- Prepare light meals or snacks for children as needed.
- Follow established routines for bedtime and other daily activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized play area and ensure children's safety at all times.
- Communicate regularly and openly with parents regarding children's well-being and activities.
- Address minor injuries or emergencies effectively and responsibly.
- Ensure a smooth transition during parent arrival and departure.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in childcare or babysitting roles.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage children in stimulating and fun activities.
- Proficiency in managing children of various age groups.
- Strong understanding of child safety and emergency procedures.
- Must be a trusted local individual with established community ties.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification for infants and children.
- Experience with multiple children simultaneously.
- Positive references from previous childcare employers.
- Clean background check and driving record.
- Flexibility to occasionally adjust weekend evening hours.
