Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory procedures and experiments under supervision, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare reagents, media, and samples for various experimental analyses.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Document experimental data accurately and meticulously, maintaining organized lab notebooks and digital records.
- Assist senior scientists and researchers with experimental setup, data collection, and preliminary analysis.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering, stocking, and organizing supplies.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory workspace.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, quality control standards, and company policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing project discussions.
- Continuously learn new techniques and adapt to evolving research needs.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks and recording data.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science).
- Prior hands-on experience in a laboratory setting (academic or professional) is a plus.
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is advantageous.
